How Long Does It Take for Data to Update in Cometly?

In your Cometly account, there are two types of data: Ad Data and Conversion Events. Each type has its own update schedule, and understanding these can help you better track performance in real time.

Let’s break down each type and how often it updates:

Ad Data:

Ad Data includes metrics such as "Amount Spent," "Clicks," and "Impressions" that Cometly pulls directly from the ad platforms you’re using.

Update Frequency by Platform:

  • Meta (Facebook, Instagram): Every 60 minutes

  • Google Ads: Every 30 minutes

  • TikTok Ads: Every 30 minutes

  • LinkedIn Ads: Every 30 minutes

Conversion Event Data:

Conversion Events represent the actual conversions we track through the Comet Pixel or via server-side events sent through a webhook or direct integration partner.

Update Frequency:

  • Conversion Event data updates "live" with a short delay. Typically, it takes 15 minutes to process the data. This means that while the timestamp for an event reflects the exact moment it occurred, it will appear in your Cometly account 15 minutes later.

Example: If a purchase is recorded at 1:00 PM, it will appear in Cometly at 1:15 PM, showing the correct event time of 1:00 PM.
