How to configure the Cometly LinkedIn conversion API

The information below outlines the setup steps for configuring the Cometly LinkedIn Conversion API.

Navigate to your LinkedIn Ads Campaign Manager to configure your conversion events

  1. Click "Analyze" and then "Conversion Tracking"

2. Select "Create Conversion" and "Conversion API"

3. Create your conversion (Recommended settings below)

"Define the key conversion behavior you want to track" - Select an option inside the "Lead" or "Sale" category

"Select the timeframe for when the conversion can be counted" - Select 90 days for both Clicks and Views

"Select the attribution model to specify how each ad interaction is credited" - Select "Last Touch - Each Campaign"

4. Select "Direct API" for the integration

5. Select the campaign you want to track with this specific conversion and click "Create"

6. Now navigate to Cometly "Conversion API" page to map the LinkedIn Conversion to the desired event inside Cometly

7. You'll see your LinkedIn conversion event on the left, now you can Map this conversion to the event inside of Cometly on the right

And then click "SAVE"

When you do this, whenever Cometly tracks that event, it will pass the data to LinkedIn and fire on your selected LinkedIn conversion event

Congratulations! Now when Cometly starts tracking those events, it will send the data back to LinkedIn to help the ads optimize and perform better on that selected conversion event.
