Adding the Cometly Pixel to your Gravity Forms allows you to automatically track form submissions and capture key data like email addresses, names, and more. Follow the steps below to integrate the Cometly Pixel with your Gravity Forms.
Edit Your Gravity Form
Log in to your WordPress dashboard and go to Forms.
Select the Gravity Form you wish to edit (or create a new form if you haven’t already).
Add a Custom HTML Block
Open the form editor by clicking on the form name.
From the “Form Fields” panel on the right, look for the field type “HTML” (typically under “Standard Fields”).
Drag and drop the HTML field to the top of your form—this is where you’ll insert your Cometly Pixel.
Insert the Cometly Pixel
Click on the newly added HTML field to open its Field Settings.
In the “Content” box, paste your Cometly Pixel code.
You can retrieve your Pixel code from Cometly under Space Setup > Install Cometly Pixel.
Click “Save Form” (or “Update”) to publish your changes.
Important: Make sure you place the HTML block above any other fields in your form to ensure the Pixel is loaded first.
Test Form Tracking
Open the page or post where your Gravity Form is embedded.
Use the Cometly Pixel Helper (a browser extension) to verify that the Pixel is firing correctly on page load.
Fill out the form (at least the email address field) and check if the Cometly Pixel Helper indicates automatic form field capture.
Send Event Data from Gravity Forms to Cometly via Cometly Webhooks
Adding the Pixel to your form captures page views and field inputs, but you also want to send form submission data (like form completions) as events to Cometly. Follow our Gravity Forms Integration article below for full instructions on configuring webhooks or using Zapier.
