Gravity Forms Integration

Learn how to send form submissions from your Gravity Forms as events to Cometly.

Updated this week

Start Here 👋

If you are using Gravity Forms on your website, ensure you have properly set them up. Visit our Gravity Forms Form Tracking Guide to complete the required steps.

In this guide, we’ll walk you through integrating Gravity Forms with Cometly using a Cometly Webhook. This will allow you to send form submissions straight into your Cometly account, so you can track leads and manage your data all in one place.

If you prefer to use Zapier or do not have the Gravity Forms Webhooks Add-On, please follow our Zapier Integration article.

Connect Gravity Forms to Cometly via Webhook

If you want a direct connection without using Zapier, you can set up a webhook in Gravity Forms that sends your form submissions to Cometly.

Install & Activate Gravity Forms Webhooks Add-On

  1. Go to “Forms” > “Add-Ons.”

  2. Find the “Webhooks Add-On” and click “Install” (if not already installed).

  3. Activate the add-on.

Note: The Webhooks Add-On is typically included in higher-tier Gravity Forms licenses. Make sure your license supports this feature. If you do not have Webhooks Add-On, you can use our Zapier Integration.

Add a New Webhook Feed

  1. Open the Form Editor for the form you want to connect.

  2. Click on “Settings” (under your form name) and select “Webhooks.”

  3. Click “Add New” to create a new webhook feed.

Configure Your Webhook

For this step, you will need to create a new Webhook in Cometly to place in Gravity Forms. Please see the Cometly Webhooks article for setting up the webhook.

  1. Name the feed: Something like “Cometly Webhook.”

  2. Request URL: Paste the Cometly webhook URL here.

  3. Request Method: Choose POST.

  4. Request Format: Set to JSON.

  5. Header Configuration: no requirements here.

  6. Conditional Logic (optional): If you only want to send submissions under certain conditions, enable conditional logic and set your rules accordingly. Otherwise, leave it disabled.

Save and Test

  1. Click “Save Settings.”

  2. Submit a test entry on your Gravity Form.

  3. Check your Cometly account to confirm the submission was received.

Setting up Cometly Webhook

Once you have configured the webhook in Gravity Forms, refer to our Cometly Webhooks Guide for detailed instructions on:

  • Creating your webhook in Cometly.

  • Selecting the event (or creating a new event) for the webhook.

  • Mapping the webhook data to the appropriate fields in Cometly.

  • Setting up filters to ensure only the desired data is tracked.

By following these steps, you’ll ensure that your Gravity Forms form submissions are properly integrated with Cometly.
