Cognito Forms Integration

Learn how to send event data from Cognito Forms to Cometly.

Updated this week

Start Here 👋

If you are using Cognito Forms on your website, ensure you have properly set them up. Visit our Cognito Forms Form Tracking Guide to complete the required steps.

Cognito Forms allows you to capture and manage form submissions efficiently. To integrate Cognito Forms with Cometly for advanced analytics, you need to set up a webhook that sends data from your form submissions to Cometly.

Use a different Cometly webhook for each specific form you want to track.

Adding a Webhook in Cognito Forms

Follow these steps to add a webhook to your Cognito Form. If you wish to use the Cognito Forms help article for setting up webhooks, visit the Cognito Forms article here.

  1. Navigate to the Settings Tab
Open the Cognito Form you want to integrate and click on the Settings tab from the left-hand menu.

  2. Enable Post JSON Data to a Website

    • Scroll down to the Post JSON Data to a Website section under Form Settings.

    • Toggle the option to ON to activate webhooks.

    • ⚠️ Note: This toggle must be enabled for the webhook to work. If it is not toggled on, no data will be sent to Cometly.

  3. Add the Cometly Webhook URL

    • In the Submit Entry Endpoint field, paste the webhook URL provided by Cometly.

    • If needed, you can also use the Update Entry Endpoint to track updates to form submissions.

    • Save your changes.

  4. Repeat for Each Form

    • You’ll need to add this webhook to each Cognito Form on your site that you want to track.

    • Ensure you create a unique Cometly webhook for every form to accurately track submissions and events.

Setting up Cometly Webhook

Once you have configured the webhook in Cognito Forms, refer to our Cometly Webhooks Guide for detailed instructions on:

  • Creating your webhook in Cometly.

  • Selecting the event (or creating a new event) for the webhook.

  • Mapping the webhook data to the appropriate fields in Cometly.

  • Setting up filters to ensure only the desired data is tracked.

By following these steps, you’ll ensure that your Cognito Form submissions are properly integrated with Cometly.
