The Components of a URL

Before we go over these filters, let's cover the relevant URL components to Cometly:

The 'URL' Filter

The URL filter helps you gain reporting insights when wanting to check on how the host on your URL and any path on that URL is performing.

Using our link above as an example, the URL filter would be able to give us results on how the host "cometly.com" is performing as well as any landing pages that have a specific destination included in the path.

The 'URL Parameters' Filter

The URL Parameters filter helps you gain insights on how specific query parameters on a URL are performing.

In this case, if we wanted to check how a specific site source is performing on our example link above, we can use the filter "URL Parameters contains (insert site source here)".

PRO TIP: A great use case for using the URL Parameters filter would be if your funnel features redirect links that do not use any landing pages whatsoever. If you want to see how specific redirect links are performing, you can use the report builder to check this within Cometly!
