WooCommerce Setup Instructions

Important: Do not install the pixel on your site or place any of the following code snippets on your site:

  • add to cart

  • initiate checkout

  • purchase

The WooCommerce plugin automatically installs those events on your site.

Step 1: Download the Cometly WooCommerce plugin

In your Cometly account, navigate to the Integrations page in your Cometly space.

Select WooCommerce as your integration

Activate WooCommerce

Download the Cometly WooCommerce plugin.

If you have previously set up Cometly with an older plugin version or manually installed the Cometly Pixel, remove before adding the plugin.

Important Notice: The plugin is specific to your Cometly space and will automatically install the Cometly Pixel, Add To Cart & Initiate Checkout events, and webhooks to send purchases to our server into your store. If you have multiple stores, please make sure you download the plugin from the correct space.

Navigate to your WooCommerce store, and go to Plugins

Click Add New

Upload the Cometly WooCommerce plugin

Step 2: Clear Cache on your WooCommerce Store

As a WooCommerce store owner, you are most likely aware that Wordpress sites can have caching issues. Please make sure to clear your cache after you have installed the plugin to ensure tracking pixel accuracy.

If you use WP Rocket, please follow the instructions below.

If you use WP Rocket, you need to navigate to your WP Rocket settings to ensure you have unchecked specific settings.

In your WP Rocket settings, please navigate to FILE OPTIMIZATION

Scroll down to JavaScript Files and ensure that all of the following check boxes are UNCHECKED. Do not check these checkboxes or it will cause the Cometly pixel not to load properly.
