iClosed Integration

To ensure Cometly accurately tracks all scheduled appointments from your iClosed account, you’ll need to configure your iClosed event settings correctly. This guide walks you through the required setup so that Cometly can capture appointment data and connect it back to your ad campaigns.

Step 1: Add the Cometly scripts to Your Pages

For tracking to work, you need the Cometly pixel added to both your scheduling and thank-you pages.

On Your Scheduling Page:

  • Add the Cometly pixel to the <head> tag of the page where your iClosed booking form is embedded.

On Your Thank-You Page:

  • Add the Cometly pixel to the <head> tag of the thank you page as well


Step 2: Navigate to Your iClosed Events

  1. Log in to your iClosed account.

  2. Go to your AI Scheduler and open the Events section.

  3. You may have one or multiple events — follow these steps for each event you want tracked in Cometly.


Step 3: Set the Primary Question to “Email Address”

Cometly uses the email address to connect offline events (like appointments) to online ad interactions.

  1. Click Edit on the event.

  2. Ensure the first primary question is Email Address. (By default, iClosed may use Phone Number as the primary question; change this so Email Address is listed as the primary question).

  3. Click Save to confirm your changes.


Step 4: Configure the Confirmation Page

  1. In the event editor, scroll down to the Confirmation Page section.

  2. Change the setting from the default iClosed confirmation page to an External URL (your custom thank-you page).

  3. Enable “Forward Parameters to External URL.”

    • This ensures that the user’s email address and tracking parameters are passed to your thank-you page so Cometly can capture them.

Step 5: Push Scheduled Events from iClosed to Cometly

  1. In Zapier, make sure both your iClosed and Cometly accounts are connected.

  2. Create a new Zap:

    • Trigger: iClosed → Call Booked

    • Action: Cometly → Send Event

  3. Choose the event name in Cometly (e.g., Schedule) and set the Event Time to Now.

  4. Map the contact’s email (required) and optionally the full name and phone number.

  5. Test the Zap and publish it.

Once completed, all scheduled appointments in iClosed will be sent to Cometly as server events, allowing you to track them accurately.


Step 6: Test your Configuration

  1. Go through your scheduling form as a test user.

  2. Complete the booking using an email address you can access.

  3. Verify that:

    • The thank-you page loads correctly with your Cometly pixel installed.

    • The email address is captured and appears in Cometly’s "Schedule" Event in your account.
