Attio Integration

This guide shows you how to connect Attio to Cometly so you can automatically send lead and deal events into Cometly for accurate attribution and reporting.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Cometly captures every important action from Attio and ties it back to your ads and marketing channels. Syncing Attio with Cometly ensures that every new lead or deal update is tracked correctly. This gives you complete visibility into which ads and channels are generating pipeline and revenue.

Cometly app is available publicly in the Attio Apps & Integrations:

Step 1: Choose the Attio App in Cometly

  1. Inside Cometly, go to IntegrationsAttio.

  2. Click Add Event.

  3. Under App, select Attio.

  4. Connect your Attio account if you haven’t already.

Step 2: Select Your Attio Account

You’ll see your connected Attio account appear (example: name@youremail.com). This is the email associated with your Attio account.

If you have multiple Attio accounts connected, choose the correct one for this event.

Click Connect new account to connect your Attio account.

Step 3: Choose a Trigger

Choose when Cometly should capture the event from Attio.

You’ll see two trigger options that you can select:

Record Created

Triggers when a new record is created in Attio
(Examples: new person, new company, new deal, etc.)

Record Updated

Triggers when an existing record is updated
(Examples: deal stage changes, new values added, status updated, etc.)

Choose the trigger that matches the moment you want the event sent to Cometly.

⚠️ Note: Once selected, the App, Account, and Trigger cannot be modified.
If you need to change them later, you must create a new event.

Step 4: Select the Attio Object

After selecting the trigger, you’ll be prompted to choose which Attio object should fire the event. Examples include:

  • Person

  • User

  • Deal

Select the object that represents the action you want to track in Cometly.

Step 5: Map Attio Fields to Cometly Fields

Next you’ll map the Attio data to Cometly fields such as:

  • Email (required)

  • Event Time (required - choose the dynamic option, time of the event)

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • Phone

  • Other available optional fields

Step 6: Configure Filters (Optional)

Filters allow you to control when the event should actually be sent.

Examples:

  • Only send Person Created events where Email contains “@company.com”

  • Only send Deal Updated events where Stage = Closed Won

Filters help maintain clean and accurate tracking, especially for large Attio workspaces.

Step 7: Save Your Event

Click Save Event.

Your Attio integration is now active, and Cometly will automatically receive events every time the chosen trigger fires.

Pro Tip

If you’re tracking deals, set up separate events for:

  • Deal Created

  • Deal Stage Updated

  • Closed Won

This gives you complete pipeline attribution inside Cometly.
