Learn how to send events from Keap to Cometly.

This guide will walk you through integrating Keap with Cometly using Zapier. Using Zapier, you can seamlessly send events to Cometly for new leads, deals created, and closed won deals.

If you’re using Keap forms embedded on your website, the Cometly Pixel will automatically capture key form field data, including first name, last name, email, and phone number. This ensures that any new event sent to Cometly is accurately linked to the original customer journey, allowing you to view detailed source data within your Cometly account.

In this guide we will cover three use cases for sending events from Keap to Cometly.

1. Leads (triggers when new contact is created in Keap)

2. Opportunity Created (triggers when a new opportunity is created in Keap)

3. Opportunity Closed Won (triggers when when a deal is moved to a Won in Keap)

4. New Payment (triggers when a new payment is created in Keap)

5. Qualified Lead (triggers when a contact is updated in Keap)


Send Lead Events

  1. Create a New Zap in Zapier

    • In your Zapier account, click Create Zap.

    • Select Keap as the trigger app.

  2. Choose Trigger Event

    • Select New Contact as the trigger event. When a new contact is created in Keap, this will trigger the Zap to send the lead event to Cometly.

  3. Choose Cometly as the Action


Send Opportunity Created Events

  1. Create a New Zap in Zapier

    • In your Zapier account, click Create Zap.

    • Select Keap as the trigger app.

  2. Choose Trigger Event

    • Select New Opportunity Event as the trigger event.

    • On the Configure step where it says Opportunity events this trigger will listen to, select Opportunity Added

  3. Choose Cometly as the Action


Send Opportunity Closed Won Events

  1. Create a New Zap in Zapier

    • In your Zapier account, click Create Zap.

    • Select Keap as the trigger app.

  2. Choose Trigger Event

    • Select Opportunity Stage Moved as the trigger event.

    • On the next step choose the opportunity stage that you have in your sales pipeline in Keap that indicates a deal has been moved to closed won. This selection will ensure that when a deal is moved to closed won, it will trigger the event to Cometly.

  3. Choose Cometly as the Action


Send New Payment Events

  1. Create a New Zap in Zapier

    • In your Zapier account, click Create Zap.

    • Select Keap as the trigger app.

  2. Choose Trigger Event

    • Select New Payment (All Payment Type) as the trigger event.

    • This will trigger the Zap to send payments to Cometly when any Keap payments are made (Credit Card Payments, Cash Payments, and Check Payments).

  3. Choose Cometly as the Action


Send Qualified Lead Events

  1. Create a New Zap in Zapier

    • In your Zapier account, click Create Zap.

    • Select Keap as the trigger app.

  2. Choose Trigger Event

    • Select Updated Contact as the trigger event.

    • When a contact is updated, the Zap will trigger. Add a filter step between the trigger and the Cometly action to ensure data is only sent when the lead's status is updated to "qualified" (or your equivalent indicator).

  3. Choose Cometly as the Action
