This guide will walk you through integrating Zendesk with Cometly using Zapier. Using Zapier, you can seamlessly send events to Cometly for new leads, deals created, closed won deals, data directly to Cometly for advanced tracking and attribution.

In this guide we will cover three use cases for sending events from Zendesk Sell to Cometly.

1. Leads (new leads created in Zendesk Sell)
2. Deals Created (when a new deal is created in Zendesk Sell)
3. Closed Won Deal (when a deal is moved to a Won in Zendesk Sell)
Send Lead Events
Create a New Zap in Zapier
In your Zapier account, click Create Zap.
Select Zendesk Sell as the trigger app.
Choose Trigger Event
Choose Cometly as the Action
Select the Lead event.
Include the first name, last name, email address, and phone number
If you have Zendesk Chat leads in your Zendesk Sell account, include the field in your Zendesk account called
Cometly_tracking_token
in the Comet Token field.If you are not using the Zendesk Chat integration, you do not need to add the Comet Token.
Test & Activate the Zap
Send a test lead to Cometly to ensure the data is captured correctly. You can view the Events Manager > Events Log in Cometly to ensure that the data is coming into Cometly.
Send New Deal Events
Create a New Zap in Zapier
In your Zapier account, click Create Zap.
Select Zendesk Sell as the trigger app.
Choose Trigger Event
Choose Cometly as the Action
Create a new event in Cometly called Deal Created. Please refer to this article to learn how to create a new event in Cometly.
Include the amount (indicating the deal amount), first name, last name, email address, and phone number
If you have Zendesk Chat leads in your Zendesk Sell account, include the field in your Zendesk account called
Cometly_tracking_token
in the Comet Token field.If you are not using the Zendesk Chat integration, you do not need to add the Comet Token.
