Step 5: Configure Filters & Activating Event
Filters let you control when an item in Monday.com should trigger an event in Cometly. This step is optional, but highly recommended—especially when you're using column-based triggers and only want to send the event under specific conditions.
🛠 Common Use Cases for Filtering in Monday:
Only trigger the event when the Status column equals "Qualified"
Send the event only when a custom column like Lead Score is greater than 70
Prevent events from triggering if an item hasn’t reached a certain stage or condition
Tip: If you're using the Specific Column Value Changed trigger, filters are the best way to ensure you're only sending events to Cometly when the column updates to a meaningful value (like "Demo Booked" or "Opportunity").
To add filters:
Click “Add Another Filter”
Select the field you want to filter by (e.g.
status
,deal stage
,contact owner
, etc.)Choose your condition (e.g.
equals
,contains
,starts with
)Enter the value you want to match (e.g.
MQL
,SQL
, etc.)
🧪 Test Result:
If your test data matches the filter, you'll see a ✅ green success message like:
Status (text) equals Qualified Lead – PASS
If the data doesn’t pass, you’ll see a message letting you know the webhook would not have continued.
After you have your filters configured properly, click Save, and then click Activate to activate your event.
