Excluding domains from Cometly’s referral source ensures your analytics remain accurate. When you add a domain to the exclusion list, Cometly will no longer attribute visits from that domain to the ‘referrer’ source.
Excluding a domain is not retroactive. This means that if a specific domain has already been recorded as "referral" traffic in Cometly, those past records will remain unchanged. The exclusion will only take effect from the moment you add the domain, applying to all traffic data moving forward.
Automatic Exclusion
Any verified domain in Space Setup > Install & Verify Cometly Pixel is automatically placed on the Referral Source Exclusion List.
Traffic from these domains will not appear as referrals.
Manually Adding Exclusions
Open Space Setup, then select Traffic Permissions.
Click Add Domain
Enter the correctly formatted domain you want to exclude from being attributed to the 'referrer' source. Do not include http or https. Only include the domain and/or subdomain.
Example:example.com
orshop.example.com
