Updated over a week ago

Objective

Below video will show you how to generate three reports: All customer purchases in the last 30 days, New customer purchases in the last 30 days, and Returning customer purchases in the last 30 days.

Key Steps

  1. All Customer Purchases in Last 30 Days:

    • Navigate to the report builder.

    • Name the report "All Customer Purchases | Last 30 Days."

    • Select the date range as the last 30 days.

    • Choose the metric "purchase" to display all purchases.

    • Verify the data output on the chart.

    • Add the report to the dashboard.

  2. New Customer Purchases in Last 30 Days:

    • Edit the "Customer Purchases All" report.

    • Change the name to "New Customer Purchases | Last 30 Days."

    • Add a filter for "First Purchase Date" less than 31 days ago.

    • Verify the filtered data and add the report to the dashboard.

  3. Returning Customer Purchases in Last 30 Days:

    • Edit the "Customer Purchases New" report.

    • Edit the filter for "First Purchase Date" and instead of "less than", select "more than" and put in "30" days ago.

    • Change the report name to "Returning Customer Purchases | Last 30 Days."

    • Verify the data and add the report to the dashboard.

Cautionary Notes

  • Ensure the correct date range is selected for each report to accurately reflect the last 30 days.

  • Double-check the filters applied to each report to avoid inaccuracies in the data.

Tips for Efficiency

  • Use the same report template for similar reports to save time on setting up new reports.

  • Verify the data output and filters applied to ensure the accuracy of the reports.

  • Update the date range and filters when analyzing data for different time periods to maintain report relevance.
