ClickFunnels (1.0) Integration

Learn how to setup the ClickFunnels (1.0) integration to automatically send purchase events to Cometly.

👋 Start Here

This article is specifically for the legacy ClickFunnels 1.0 integration. If you are using ClickFunnels 2.0, please refer to our ClickFunnels 2.0 Integration Guide.

The ClickFunnels 1.0 integration is designed specifically for sending purchase events to Cometly. If you wish to send other types of events, you can use Cometly Webhooks to track and map additional data.

Here’s how the ClickFunnels 1.0 integration works:

  • Automatic Purchase Tracking: Purchases made in your ClickFunnels 1.0 funnels are automatically sent to Cometly.

  • Upsell Tracking: If your funnel includes upsells, the total upsell value will be added to the original purchase value. This ensures the entire transaction is recorded as a single purchase in Cometly and sent to ad platforms via the Conversion API. You can view the upsell details in the customer journey.

  • Data Capture: The Cometly Pixel automatically captures key customer details, including email address, first name, last name, and phone number.

Important Note:

  1. Using Stripe for Payment Processing

    • If you’re already sending purchase events to Cometly from Stripe (and Stripe is the only payment processor used in your funnel), you do not need to use this integration. ClickFunnels 1.0 is typically integrated with Stripe by default, ensuring purchase events are already being sent to Cometly.

Step 1: Install Cometly Pixel In Your Funnels

Install the Cometly Pixel in your ClickFunnels 1.0 funnels by pasting it into the Head Tracking Code section located in the funnel's settings. This will automatically apply the pixel to all pages within the funnel.

Step 2: Add the Cometly Webhook URL to ClickFunnels

In this step you are going to retrieve the Clickfunnels Postback URL from within your Cometly account and add to your ClickFunnels funnel.

In your Cometly account, navigate to the Integrations page in your Cometly space and scroll down to the Connections section.

Click Add Integration

Select ClickFunnels (1.0) as your integration and click Next

Click Activate ClickFunnels

Copy the Postback URL

Login to your ClickFunnels account and and navigate to the funnel settings

Scroll down on the Settings page to the Webhooks section and click Manage Your Funnel Webhooks

Click + New Webhook

Copy the Webhook URL from your Cometly account to the URL input box:

  • In the Event box, choose purchase_created and purchase_updated.

  • Selection json for the Adaptor

  • Click Create Funnel Webhoook

You are now successfully integrated with ClickFunnels and all purchases will be send directly to Cometly as a purchase event.

Setting up Cometly Webhooks To Send Additional Events

Refer to our Cometly Webhooks Guide for detailed instructions on:

  • Creating your webhook in Cometly

  • Selecting the event (or creating event) for the webhook

  • Mapping the webhook data to the appropriate fields in Cometly.

  • Setting up filters to ensure only the desired data is tracked.

By following these steps, you’ll ensure that your ClickFunnels 1.0 form submissions are properly integrated with Cometly.
