Updated over a week ago

This article will provide you with best practices using Cometly to optimize your ads for ClickBank offers.

Optimizing strategy using Cometly to Optimize your ads for ClickBank offers:

  • When you launch conversion ads, let them run for 3 days (don't turn them off or change budget, they need time to optimize).

  • Use Cometly to see which ad sets are producing net profits.

  • After 3 days, turn off any ad sets that are not profitable. However, if they do have 1 sale, but are slightly in the red, let them run one more day.

  • Now that you have isolated down your ad sets, begin to scale those ad sets 20% daily.

  • After an ad set has 5 sales and is profitable, duplicate the ad set.

Important:

Please read the campaign and ad set duplication process below to ensure all of your duplicates are tracking properly in Cometly.

Duplicating Campaigns

When you duplicate a campaign, the campaign name and ad set name must be different (or unique) from the original naming convention. You need to make sure you add a number or letter to stay organized and make it unique.

Example Campaign Architecture

Current Example

Campaign:

[Ad account] - [Angle] - [Creative] - [Lander]

Ad Sets:

[Ad account] - [Angle] - [Creative] - [Lander] - [Ad Set #] - [Audience]

Duplicate Example

Campaign:

[Ad account]1 - [Angle] - [Creative] - [Lander]

Ad Sets:

[Ad account]1 - [Angle] - [Creative] - [Lander] - [Ad Set #] - [Audience]

Duplicating Ad Sets

When you duplicate an ad set, the ad set name name must be different (or unique) from the original naming convention of the ad set. You need to make sure you add a number or letter to stay organized and make it unique.

Note: You can duplicate your ad set in the existing campaign, and do not need to make any changes to the name of the campaign for tracking purposes.

Example Campaign Architecture

Current Example

Campaign:

[Ad account] - [Angle] - [Creative] - [Lander]

Ad Sets:

[Ad account] - [Angle] - [Creative] - [Lander] - [Ad Set #] - [Audience]

Duplicate Example

Changing the Ad Set # to a unique number will make the ad set unique in the Cometly tracking system.

Ad Sets:

[Ad account]1 - [Angle] - [Creative] - [Lander] - [Ad Set #] - [Audience]

Note: Best practice is to organize your ad sets in sequential order. For example, if you had Adset1, Adset2, and Adset3 in your original campaign, you want to duplicate the profitable ad set and name it Adset4. That will keep you organized by tracking in sequential order and ensure the ad set name is unique in the Cometly tracking system.
